Windows Phone 7 Root / Jailbreak Progress [video]

It wasnt very long ago that Chris Walshie from Australia reported that he was succesfull at obtaining root access to the Windows Phone 7. He has now tweeted informing that he has access to the registry and the file-system as well.

I’ve now got Registry & File system access on HTC & Samsung devices. LG, you are next. #wp7

This is just another step closer to achieving something big. Windows Phone 7 may be looking at a future much like that of the iPhone having features like multi tasking available even before it was implemented by Apple.

However Microsoft unlike Apple has been driven at building based on their customer feedback. It will be interesting to see where this heads.
