The Google I/O 2012 took place between June 27 - 29, 2012 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco.
Day 01 focused on Android and we were introduced to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Jelly Bean is an update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and brings several performance and stability improvements along with Google Now which is a direct answer to Apple's Siri. Google also introduced the Nexus 7 tablet and the Nexus Q along with giving users an entertaining preview of Google Glasses. The Google+ social network was also updated with the new events feature along with a tablet version for the iPad and Android.
Day 02 focused on Google Chrome and Chrome OS. Google introduced the Chrome Browser and Google Drive apps for iOS and their powerful Compute Engine for developers. Users were promised the opportunity to test Chromebooks before purchasing at local Best Buy stores in the U.S. or Dixons stores in the U.K.
